Sprint Distance Syrathlon


Start Time: 9:10 – 11:30

The Sprint Distance is one of the most widespread and famous distance that triathletes follow both in a national and international scale.

The distance consists of 750m swimming, 20km cycling and 5km running. This particular distance can be constituted as a good test race towards the preparation of high level athletes, but it can be constituted also as an entertaining race for those who are involved with the sport in amateur level.

Start/ Transition Zone/ Finish: “Nisaki”

Route: swimming (triangle route inside the port bay of Syros, set by buoys), cycling (2 cycle of 10km), running (2 cycle 2,5km).

The distance of cycling and running will take place on asphalt ground. The race is addressed to both experienced and beginners triathletes.

Security Measures: Motorbikes will be following the athletes in any case of assistance needed, in several spots along the race distance there will be lifeguards and a doctor, but also an ambulance stand-by for the first aid provision in the case of an emergency transportation to the Medical Centre of Syros.

There will be 2 water stations spots and at the finish area snack will be provided to the athletes.


Age Group:

MEN: M1. 18-29 M2. 30-39 M3. 40-49 M4. 50+
WOMEN: W1. 18-29 W2. 30-39 W3. 40-49 W4. 50+

For an age group to be existed there must be at least 8 registrations.


  • Medals for the 3 first women and men winners in every category. Awards and presents for the first winners
  • Race medals for all participants
